Simpang Lima as one of the icon of Semarang City is a meeting point between Jl.Pandanaran, Jl.Pahlawan, Jl.Ahmad Yani, Jl.Gajahmada, and Jl.A.Dahlan. This area has a high traffic in each those roads. Jl.Ahmad Yani and Jl.Pandanaran located opposite each other or parallel, but Jl.Gajahmada located in the middle of them. So with that condition, the air pollution that occurs will be studied by seeing the wind direction that occurs on those roads at the same time, and Jl.Gajahmada as a control to indicate the street canyon condition on those roads. Counting the number of vehicles and meteorological factors such as temperature, humidity, and wind speed are needed to explain about air pollution that occurs on those roads. This study was conducted at the peak traffic hours for 12 days in Jl. Ahmad Yani, Jl Gajahmada and Jl.Pandanaran. This study aimed to analyze the effect of  the number of vehicles and meteorological factors to CO concentration in Jl.Ahmad Yani and analyze the effect of wind direction to CO concentration in Jl.Ahmad Yani, Jl.Gajahmada and Jl.PandanaranThe highest concentration of CO that recorded on Monday July 22nd, 2013 until Saturday July 27th 2013 is up to 26ppm with the dominant wind direction moving towards to the southwest, while the lowest concentration is up to 7ppm with the dominant wind direction moving towards to the westward. The results showed that the effect of the number of vehicles and the humidity is directly proportional to the concentration of CO, while the temperature, wind direction and speed is inversely proportional.The southwest direction moves perpendicular to the street so that it caused dispersion  of the pollutant is very small., and  westward direction moves parallel to street, so that the pollutant dispersion could be happened easier. This study indicates that the street canyon  occurs in Jl . Ahmad Yani and this is supported as well by results in Jl.Gajahmada and Jl.Pandanaran.
