The purpose of this study was to know correlation between parents social support and commitment to task (task commitment) of acceleration students in the high school level. The participants of thisstudy were acceleration students in the high school (using technique of total population study). It is used Product Moment correlation technique using SPS-2000 which show the correlation coefficient score rxy = 0.531 with (p) 0.000 to be p <0.01 (significant). This indicates the correlation between parents social support and commitment to task (task commitment) acceleration students in the high school level. The effective contribution of parents social support with commitment to task (taskcommitment) is 28.2%, so there are still 71.8% other variables not examined in this study, such as ideals or aspirations of students, students abilities, condition of students, condition of physicalenvironment and social environment (friends), the dynamic elements in learning, learning process, and teachers efforts to teach the students.
