Coalis afossil fuelwhich is stillusedas anindustrialfuelinIndonesiaand knownas thecheapestfuelthan oil andgas fuel. However, the availability ofhighrank coalinIndonesiahighly depleted, but thelow rank coalreservesinIndonesiaare stillabundant. Whenthe process of coal fuel combustionin theindustrialsector generatesbyproducts, especially exhaust gassuch asSO2 emissions. Ifthe coal characteristichas totalsulfur more than0.44%, it can be ensuredthatSO2emissionsduringcoal combustionemissionscan exceed the quality standards. Therefore, itneedsresearch aboutdesulfurizationtechnologyespeciallymixingcoalwithlimestoneCaCO3whenthe combustionprocessin thestokersimulator furnace. In this research, the variations of limestone which is used are the size of limestone and Ca/S ratio for limestone’s weight. Total of coal combustion testing as much as once and coal combustion by mixture of limestone as much as 9 times. The total sulfur of low rank coalfrom Kalimantanis 0.55%. The smaller size of limestone, the higher capturing SO2 emission and the bigger Ca/S ratio,the greater reducing SO2 emission. Effective resultsina decrease inSO2emissionswitha mixture oflimestoneoccurs inthe weightvariationof Ca/S2, as well asvariations insize8mesh. Maximum efficiency of SO2 emissionsremovalis 65%.
