ABSTRAK KARAKTER PADUAN Zr-0,4%Mo-0,5%Fe-0,5%Cr PASCA PERLAKUAN PANAS DAN PENGEROLAN DINGIN. Penelitian dan pengembangan paduan Zr-Mo-Fe-Cr ditujukan untuk mendapatkan bahan struktur elemen bakar reaktor PWR burn up tinggi. Pada penelitian ini telah dibuat paduan Zr-0,4%Mo-0,5%Fe-0,5%Cr dari bahan baku sponge zirkonium, serbuk molibdenium, besi dan khrom. Paduan mendapat perlakuan panas dengan variasi temperatur 650 dan 750°C serta waktu penahanan 1, 1,5 dan 2 jam. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendapatkan pengaruh reduksi ketebalan terhadap karakter paduan Zr-0,4%Mo-0,5%Fe-0,5%Cr. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mikrostruktur paduan Zr-0,4%Mo-0,5%Fe-0,5%Cr pasca perlakuan panas dan pengerolan dingin memperlihatkan apabila semakin tinggi reduksi ketebalan yang diterapkan pada paduan menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan struktur butir dari ekuiaksial terdeformasi menjadi batang pipih dan selanjutnya batang pipih terdeformasi. Namun, semakin tinggi temperatur dan waktu penahanan maka struktur butirnya bertambah besar sehingga dengan pengerolan dingin bentuk struktur butirnya menjadi batang pipih dengan ukuran relatif besar yang berdampak kekerasannya lebih rendah. Paduan Zr-0,4%Mo-0,5%Fe-0,5%Cr pasca perlakuan panas (650-750°C; 1,5-2 jam) mampu menerima deformasi dengan reduksi ketebalan 5 - 15% tanpa mengalami keretakan. Kata kunci: paduan Zr-0,4%Mo-0,5%Fe-0,5%Cr, perlakuan panas, pengerolan dingin, mikrostruktur, kekerasan. ABSTRACT CHARACTERS OF ALLOY Zr-0.4%Mo-0.5%Fe-0.5%Cr POST HEAT TREATMENT AND COLD ROLLING. Research and development of Zr-Mo-Fe-Cr alloys aimed to obtain PWR fuel element structure material with high burn up. In this study of the Zr-0.4%Mo-0.5%Fe-0.5%Cr alloys was prepared from zirconium sponge, molybdenum, iron and chromium powder. The alloy were heat treated at varying temperatures of 650 and 750 oC and retention time of 1, 1.5 and 2 hours. The objectives of this research was to obtain effect of thickness reduction on the character of Zr-0.4%Mo-0.5%Fe-0.5%Cr alloy. The results of this experiment showed that the microstructures of Zr-0.4%Mo-0.5%Fe-0.5%Cr alloy after heat treatment and cold rolling exhibits that the higher of the thickness reduction ihas applied on the alloy caused the microstructure to evolve from deformed equiaxial grains into flat bar grains and then into deformed flat bar grains. However, the higher of the temperature and the retention time then the larger grain structures so that the cold rolling causes the shape of the grains structure into a flat bar with a relatively larger size which affects the lower hardness. The Zr-0.4%Mo-0.5%Fe-0.5%Cr alloy after heat treatment (650-750oC; 1.5-2 hours) can undergo cold deformation without cracking at a thickness reduction between 5 to 15%.
