Development of Teaching Materials on Climate Change R.B. Bunnett Model for High Schools in Fiji

Abstract: This study aims at the development of teaching materials for fifth form Geography students of high schools in Fiji. Teaching materials were developed due to the lack of appropriate teaching materials especially on Climate change. The design of this study is Research and Development (R & D) with the adaptation of the development proposed by Borg and Gall. The subjects of the study were ten students of the fifth form of Nukuloa College in Ba, Fiji. This study applied the following techniques of data collection; questionnaire, interviews, written documents, and rating scales. Based on the results of the try-out, some revisions were made inorder to improve the quality of the materials to match the needs of the students. The result of the try out suggested that the material developed was 92% suitable to be used as a teaching resource for fifth form students of high schools  in Fiji.Key Words: development, teaching materials, climate change, learning process, geography text book model Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar Model R.B. Bunnett, Fiji tentang perubahan iklim pada mata pelajaran Geografi siswa kelas lima di Nukuloa College Ba, Fiji. Desain penelitian ini Research and De-velopment (R & D) yang diadaptasi dari pengembangan yang diusulkan oleh Borg and Gall. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik kuesioner, wawancara, dokumen ter-tulis, dan likert scale. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba, beberapa revisi dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas bahan-bahan untuk menyesuaikan kebutuhan siswa. Hasil uji coba penerapan bahan ajar menyarankan bahwa materi yang dikembangkan 92 % sesuai untuk digunakan sebagai sumber pengajaran bagi siswa kelas lima di sekolah menengah atas di Fiji.Kata kunci: Pengembangan, bahan ajar, perubahan iklim, pembelajaran, model   buku teks geografi
