Barber shop has been the only public space which is not infiltrated by women and considered as male-only place, so barber shop is a perfect representative for male-only public space. This research aims to find out the effect of interior environment element towards masculine perception so that the current male-only public spaces are able to optimally fulfill the need of masculine perception. This research uses visual stimulus that depict five three-dimensional conditions of barber shops which have been the result of manipulation process of independent variables which consist of blue and orange colour, also concrete and wood material. The combination of these colours and materials resulted in four experimental conditions and one controlled condition which doesn’t apply any experimental colours or materials. The experiment was conducted to 30 subjects to rate how they respond towards masculine perception, positive emotion and behavior toward the five visual stimulus shown. The data is analyzed using ANOVA and the result shows that the responses were not significantly different. Though the perception response was not significantly different with other experimental conditions, Condition 1, where the decorative element of big motorcycle and the visualization of football (fixed variables) which were combined with blue colour (A1) dan wooden material (B2) and applied in the room, perceived as the most masculine condition with M = 89.13, 95% Cl.
