Pengembangan Model Assesmen Portofolio Elektronik (APE) untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Generik Sains Mahasiswa

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan model assesmen portofolio elektronik (APE) pada Praktikum Kimia Anorganik. Penelitian ini menggabungkan metode yang menekankan pada pengumpulan data secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif yang dilakukan secara bersamaan selama proses pengembangan model. Desain penelitian menggunakan model “Embedded Experimental" (Cresswell & Clark, 2007). Model APE divalidasi pada 33 mahasiswa dalam desain satu kelompok pretest dan posttest. Portofolio elektronik dikembangkan menggunakan modul Exabis E-Portofolio berdasarkan Moodle di web. Komponen utama APE meliputi: 1) pengetahuan sebelum kuis (KPA); 2) jurnal praktikum; 3) lembar kerja mahasiswa (LKM), dan 4) laporan praktikum. Angket digunakan untuk mendapatkan data tanggapan mahasiswa mengenai penerapan model APE. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model APE dapat meningkatkan keterampilan seluruh mahasiswa. Tiga tertinggi nilai N-gain keterampilan generik sains dicapai dalam spasial, bahasa simbolik, dan indikator abstraksi untuk kelas atas. Di kelas menengah, tiga tertinggi nilai N-gain keterampilan generik sains dicapai pada simbolis, pemodelan, dan indikator inferensi logika, sedangkan untuk kelas bawah model APE dapat meningkatkan pengamatan tidak langsung, skala sense, dan indikator spasial keterampilan generik sains. Hasil angket mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan model APE dapat meningkatkan self-assessment, pemahaman konsep, penguasaan IT, perhatian, aktivitas, dan motivasi mahasiswa. Kata kunci: APE, keterampilan generik sains, Praktikum Kimia Anorganik. ABSTRACT The aim of this research  to develop an electronic portfolio assessment (EPA) model in Practical Inorganic Chemistry. The research was used a mixed method that emphasize quantitative and qualitative data collection is carried out simultaneously during the process of model development. Research design using “Embedded Experimental” Model  (Cresswell & Clark, 2007). EPA models was validated on 33 students used the one-group pretest and posttest design. The electronic portfolio developed by using Exabis E-Portfolio module based Moodle on the web. The main components of EPA include: 1) prior knowledge quiz (KPA); 2) practical journal; 3) student sheets activity (LKM), and 4) practical report. Questionnaire was used to get students response data about implementation of the APE model. Data analysis was used descriptive statistics. The results showed the EPA model can improve student’s skill for all students. The three highest N-gain score  of generic science skills achieved in spatial, symbolic language, and abstraction indicators for the upper class. In the middle class, the three highest generic science skills N-gain achieved on the symbolic, modeling and logycal inference indicators, while for the lower classes APE model can improve the indirect observation, sense of scale, and spatial generic science skills indicators. Results of student questionnaire showed that the EPA model capabilities can improve self-assessment, understanding concepts, IT mastery, attention, activity and motivation of students.
