An organic molecule of 2-(3-4-dihydroxyphenyl) chroman-3,5,7-triol was isolated from the heartwood of Pterospermum celebicum Miq (Sterculiaeae), a rare but endemic plant of Indonesia with local name of Banjoro. Spectroscopic elaborations were carried out including UV, IR 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR analysis as well as bioassay using brine shrimps lethality test to this compound that gave a result of LC50 = 277,01 μg/ml.
